The J-trac hanger system, 5 light hangers is one of two versions of our patented hanger system, offering a safe and functional solution for hanging clothes in care environments where safety is essential.
- The hanger is designed to prevent self-harm and suicide attempts and automatically detaches from the rail under abnormal load.
- The rail is robust and designed to minimise the risk of attaching cords, ropes, or similar items for suicide-preventive purposes.
- The hanger is durable, lightweight, and made from a strong material capable of withstanding daily handling and use.
The J-trac hanger system, 5 light hangers is particularly suitable for all environments with specific safety requirements, such as mental care, youth care and correctional facilities.
The system can be mounted in the ceiling of a wardrobe or underneath a wall-mounted shelf.
The system only works with the included hangers, which stops standard hangers or other items from being used. This reduces the risk of using products not adapted to safety environments in ways that could pose a danger—for instance, by breaking, being manipulated, or used for self-harm.
Hanging clothes instead of folding them helps maintain order and makes it easier to get an overview of one’s belongings. It also helps preserve the shape and condition of garments. For the user, this can provide a sense of structure and control in daily life, which is valuable in a care setting.

The rail and J-trac hanger light can be cleaned using alcohol-based or standard cleaning agents.

Mount the rail and end stops using safety screws JT-283. The J-trac hanger system is suitable for wardrobes up to 600 mm wide, but can also be adapted for larger widths. For narrower wardrobes, the rail can easily be cut to the correct length using a hacksaw. Installation instructions are included with the order or can be provided upon request.
