Since 2010, the mission has been to support organisations working in these environments and help create safe, functional spaces for everyone who spends time in them. Guided by evidence and a deep understanding of human needs, solutions are developed where safety and healing design work together.
Every solution is shaped through close collaboration with the people who use it. By designing, testing and refining, each product is developed to perform when it matters most.
The goal is the complete room – an environment that meets demanding requirements while creating the conditions for safety, dignity and recovery.
Since 2010, this journey has evolved step by step.
A life-saving question
Can a hook save lives? This question led to our first suicide prevention solution, developed together with specialists in caring environments and suicide prevention.
The foundation is laid
James & Thedin is founded. The first products are developed together with SiS and Region Hovedstaden, based on the understanding that effective solutions require real-world insight.
Research for everyone
Interdisciplinary research becomes part of our development process to better understand how environments affect wellbeing. The goal is to create better everyday experiences for both patients and staff.
International exchange
Our presence expands into the Nordic region and the UK. J-trac is developed through practical insights from forensic psychiatric care in both Sweden and the UK.
Healsafe Interior
The company changes its name to Healsafe Interior. Our focus becomes clearer: combining safety with healing and thoughtful design.
From detail to whole
Our first regional framework agreement in Sweden is signed and furniture sales begin. The ambition is to create environments that feel less institutional and more human.
Exposure and expansion
We exhibit at Stockholm Furniture Fair and establish a showroom in Gothenburg. International distributors are added to reach more care environments globally.
A stronger foundation, a wider world
Local production and a stronger supply chain secure deliveries during the pandemic. Our range expands, the team grows, and the US becomes a new market.
Growth at Skeppsbron
We move to Skeppsbron. The Max5 and Max10 hooks are launched and our offering expands further into fixed interiors.
The complete room
Our holistic vision takes shape. With presence in 18 markets worldwide, we continue creating safer and calmer care environments.
