Hook Standard

Hook Standard features a clean, non-institutional design that combines function and safety. It has been developed to provide a durable and reliable hanging solution.

Hook Standard is suitable for environments with safety and durability requirements, such as healthcare settings, residential facilities or other public areas where a flexible and impact-resistant hook is needed. 

Hook Standard marked the starting point of Healsafe Interior’s operations in 2010. It was developed as a safe and aesthetically pleasing hook with a non-institutional appearance, manufactured in Sweden and delivered to forensic psychiatric hospitals in Scandinavia two years later. 

The hook supports the weight of several garments or towels without being affected. When the load exceeds approximately 10 kg, it bends and releases cords, straps or similar items, then returns to its original shape and function. 

Manufactured from polyoxymethylene (POM) – a material offering high strength, impact resistance and excellent resilience. 

Hook Standard is mounted on a flat wall surface to ensure a close fit, preventing the possibility of cords or similar items being attached between the hook and the wall. Please follow the mounting instructions carefully.

The hook’s smooth surface facilitates cleaning and contributes to good hygiene. 

Available in three colours – white, black and grey – to suit different interiors and expressions. Hook Standard is also available mounted on a board.

Please note that Hook Standard is not intended as a suicide-preventive product – for such requirements, Hook Max5 or Hook Max10 are recommended.

Installation
The hook must be mounted on a completely flat surface to achieve a close and stable fit between the hook and the wall. This minimises the space behind the hook, thereby reducing the possibility of attaching cords, straps or similar objects that could be used for self-harm. The hook shall be installed using security screws.
Installation must be carried out in accordance with the installation instructions [link]. 

Maintenance
The hook can be cleaned using a soft cloth and mild liquid detergent. If necessary, it may be disinfected using alcohol-based disinfectants. Do not use abrasive chemicals or scouring pads.

Sustainability
Hook Standard has undergone extensive testing to ensure both function and durability. During vertical load tests using different types of cords – 1 mm plastic line, 8 × 1 mm shoelace and cotton sheet rope – the hook releases between 8.5 and 9.8 kg.
Product testing was conducted by RISE/SP, where the hook demonstrated the ability to withstand over 1,000 releases without losing its shape, function or safety.
The design and materials of the hook have been chosen to ensure a long product lifespan.
Sorted as hard plastic for recycling.
