The Scorpio mattress combines robust construction with excellent hygiene performance. The tamper-resistant polyurethane-coated nylon cover is designed to withstand heavy wear and attempts at damage, providing increased safety and long-term durability. The heat-welded seams make the mattress completely waterproof and effectively prevent liquid penetration, making it ideal for incontinence or areas where frequent cleaning is required. 

The core is made from fire-retardant CMHR foam (Combustion Modified High Resilience) – an elastic polyurethane foam with built-in flame-retardant properties that provides enhanced fire safety and long-lasting shape retention – offering both comfort and stability for the user. 

Scorpio is available in fire-retardant versions tested to BS7177 Crib 5 and the highest classification, Crib 7. The mattress is easy to clean, antibacterial, and can be wiped down without affecting the integrity of the cover. 

Scorpio is available in several versions – as a standard model and in sizes specifically designed to fit Ryno beds. 

The Scorpio mattress is also available in a foldable version specially developed for environments where enhanced safety and continuous observation are essential. 

Material
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) with double-stitched and heat-welded seams for resistance to liquids and tampering. Core made from fire-retardant CMHR foam (Combustion Modified High Resilience). 

Maintenance
Wipe clean with a disposable cloth and mild, neutral detergent. Disinfect when necessary using a weak chlorine solution (0.1%, equivalent to 1000 ppm). Avoid abrasive, biological or phenolic-based cleaners. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reuse. Turn the mattress regularly to maintain its shape and prolong its lifespan.
