A robust bed made from rotationally moulded polyethylene, manufactured in one piece with smoothly rounded corners for maximum strength, durability and hygiene. Designed to provide safety, comfort and to meet the highest security requirements.

The Ryno bed is particularly suited to environments where safety and durability are absolutely critical, such as psychiatric care, forensic psychiatry, custodial settings, youth care and other facilities with stringent security requirements.  

Its substantial weight ensures it remains firmly in place, making it difficult to move or overturn, thereby reducing risks of aggressive behaviour or accidents in high-risk settings.

More product information
The polyethylene material is exceptionally strong, fully water-resistant and easy to clean. As the material does not absorb liquids, the surface can be wiped down and put back into use immediately – an essential feature in care environments where hygiene and availability are paramount. The textured, flame-retardant surface further enhances fire safety. 

To further increase security, the bed can be fixed to the floor with tamper-resistant fittings. Optional Ryno bed infills, right or left, are available when the bed is placed against a wall, eliminating potential hiding places and reducing the risk of items being concealed – an important safety aspect for both staff and service users. 

The bed is available in several colours, with one stocked colour (Moonwalk Gray) for shorter lead times. Supplied with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing faults, it is part of the Ryno® range – a furniture collection developed for the most demanding environments, designed for both bedrooms and communal areas. The range combines long-term reliability, robustness and safety in every detail.

Maintenance
Clean the furniture easily by wiping with a soft cloth and mild cleaning agents. Avoid abrasive materials, solvents, steam or pressure washing, as well as placing the furniture close to heat sources.

Sustainability
The Ryno bed has a long lifespan and is fully recyclable, as polyethylene can be remelted to create new products.
The bed has been tested and complies with EN 1725:1998, equivalent to a user weight of up to 36 stone (approx. 230 kg).
It is also certified to FIRA International Standard 059:2014 for contract beds.
Meets fire safety standards UL94 HB and British Standard 5852:2006 ignition source 5 (Crib 5).
UV resistance tested to UV21+, meaning it withstands 21,000 hours of sunlight exposure.
