The cigarette lighter is made of durable powder-coated steel and specifically engineered to withstand heavy wear and vandalism. It is particularly suitable for high-security environments where open flames pose a safety risk – such as forensic psychiatry, correctional facilities, youth homes, and similar settings.

The unit features an illuminated, vandal-resistant push button and tamper-proof mounting screws as standard.

It is mounted directly to a wall or flat surface and connected to the mains power supply via a rear cable entry. Please specify voltage (230V or 110V) when placing your order. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

During installation, the security screw is removed to detach the front plate, allowing the wall box to be mounted. Once the unit is securely installed, the front plate is reattached and locked with the screw.

For servicing, the front plate can be easily removed without detaching the entire wall unit.

To operate the lighter, the user presses and releases the button. A safety timer is activated, initiating an automatic cycle: the heating element is powered, then turned off, followed by a cool down phase. The cycle cannot be restarted until it has been fully completed, minimizing the risk of misuse or overheating.

This flameless cigarette lighter enhances safety by replacing conventional lighters and matches, reducing the risk of fires, vandalism, and threatening situations. Its fixed installation ensures that smoking occurs in designated areas, facilitating supervision and easing the burden on staff.

The lighter is suitable for indoor use and, to some extent, for sheltered outdoor environments. For outdoor installations, we recommend the more weather-resistant and robust HSC101 Outdoor Cigarette Lighter.

Installation
During installation, the security screws holding the front plate are loosened. Once the screws are removed, the front plate can be lifted off, providing access to the wall box. The wall box is then mounted and connected to the electrical mains. When the unit is securely in place, the front plate is reattached and fastened with the security screws.

Maintenance
Cleaning should be carried out using a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials and strong chemicals, as these may damage the powder-coated surface. Apply cleaning solution to the cloth – not directly to the product – and take care to prevent moisture from entering the push button, cigarette hole, or other openings.

Only clean the product when the power supply is disconnected. This is to avoid moisture damage and potential safety hazards when handling electrical components such as the button and heating area.

Cleaning should be performed regularly, especially in environments with high usage, humidity, or where hygiene is a priority.

Do not use pressure washers or steam cleaning equipment.

Replacement heating element: HSC102 screw-in type, available upon request.
